This page is a catch all for all the random projects and builds I do.
Stay tuned for more :)
Wood Working
Here are some fun projects completed over the last few years.
Super useful closet organizer. Here’s a video about school and building it:
Crokinole gets a dedicated page.
You can find it here.
Car camper build for a full-size mattress in a Mazda CX-5. We had lots of fun and we even took it to Canada and back!
Here’s a link to a YouTube video talking more about it -> Car Camper Build
We did still bring a tent attachment though, so we’re not completely hardcore.

Some art desks I built with a pegboard organizer.
Articulating drafting table.

New gaming table before pic.
Table after pic. Features a vaulted surface and neoprene layer. You can cover it with the table top to use it while saving your puzzle or game progress for example.

Initial framework for kitchen benches.

One side of the bench was for miscellaneous storage and has soft close hinges. The other side is to store our water jugs for our water cooler.

Living room fireplace before picture. One floating shelf and one framed picture. Small desk crammed with record player and iMac.

Elaborate jig to hold the 3 corner desk pieces while gluing. I used small dowel rods inside to reinforce the seams.

Some stain and eventually clear coat to look more finished. Also matches with kitchen benches.

Multiple shelves to match. Each side of the fireplace is a slightly different length so these are custom cut for their side.

Shelves are hung. They are even despite looking slightly askew in this picture.

And final after picture. Shelves are decorated, tv is mounted, and desks are populated with various amenities.

Close up of side 1.

Close up of side 2.

Close up of desk with slide out drawer for keyboard and mouse. The finished desks with the walls can be seen in the previous after picture.

Crokinole boards stand.

Fabric added to cushion the boards during transport to board game conventions.

Test fitting some of the finished boards.

Basic framework for upgraded basement stage and for stadium seating couches.

Stage mode for small E and M club events.

Double couch mode for movie nights. We later added an LED light strip to illuminate the edge of a stage like a proper theatre would.

Cardboard guitar prop. They needed to smash a guitar on stage multiple times and didn't want to sacrifice a real guitar. I support this decision.

Reverse side. This is before it was painted or dolled up or anything.
Custom Saloon Doors
This was for a western-themed Taming of the Shrew Shakespeare play. Initially, we had looked into buying reversible hinges. These were about $20 each, and we’d need 4. Instead, I got creative and built custom ones for about $15 dollars total. Good news for everyone: they work in both directions!
